Advice to get ex off mortgage please?

2 years ago in April last, my partner of 11 years abandoned me for someone else. For 11 years I`d supported him financially, he hasn`t paid a single penny to anything since he left and I have no idea where he has gone to - before he left, he ran up debts and emptied my bank account! I am in serious debt now as a result of this and need to either sell my home or re-finance, neither of which I can do without my ex`s signature - he has made it quite clear he`d be pleased if my home was re-possessed (it was bought with monies left by late husband, but I foolishly put my ex`s name on the house as he `didn`t feel part` of our home!), my mortgage company will not move! they will not take his name off and are threatening to repossess my home as I have fallen into arrears ( they are insisting on the arrears being paid off in full plus 6 months payments before they will even consider taking his name off) - I have my hands tied, can anyone tell me how I can get his name off please?
By the way, I am based in the United Kingdom and we weren`t married!

the mortgage company got a repo order (28 days) because i had a buyer for my house,but the day after the buyer started being silly and i think he has gone.i now feel i can just make the normal payments plus a bit extra towards arrears. i need the mortgage company to accept this amount just long enough for me to get to feb when the redemtion runs out so i can remortgage or sell without a loss/ccj. how can i hold them off?

I am in so much debt ( or should i say me and my wife are ) that we just dont know what to do. my mortgage company is taking me to court for re-posession of our house. credit card companys are on our backs and other creditors are on our backs too. im not bothered by them but its the mortgage, i dont want to lose our house and have a 4 month old son, is there any way im going to be able to stop it? we can pay the normal monthly amount but its the arrears we cant afford. normal payment is £470 but they want £790. advice welcome please.

We have been in arrears for a couple of months by 1 month and we have made promises we’ve been unable to keep and now our mortgage company is threatening us with court action. We are both working two jobs now and will be able to pay the arrears but the mortgage company understandably have now got the hump and have said we need to pay by end of March but we don’t think we can.

the house has been owned 5 years and left the property 4 years ago has not paid mortgage but company will not let me take his name off as there has been arrears on the property, even though i have always cleared these. He left me in £4000 worth of arrears and i have been playing catch up ever since. I do not want to give him any money out of the house other than the six months he paid and i want to stay here. how can i get his name off? i am now married and do not want him coming to the house again and moving in like he has before with me and my husband and daughter out for the day

Arrears Charges?

A previous mortgage company charged me £50 month after month for arrears adminstration even though we had come to an arrangement to reduce the arrears over a period of time. With the current high profile about financial institutions making charges for more than actual costs can anyone advise me as to whether I could make a valid claim to get some of these charges refunded to me? In other words is it reasonable for the mortgage company to charge me month after month when the arrangement is working well and no action is required unless the arrangement breaks down?
