Can anyone tell me if you still have to attend court even it is going to be suspended?
ByWe are due in court in 2 weeks originally for arrears on the mortgage but we have now come to an agreement with the payments

The mortgage company should have cancelled the court so have a word with them. Also ensure that they put the payment agreement in writing together with the cancellation of the court.

check with your solicitor or call the court and the clerk should be able to tell you also your mortgage company should have this information..
good luck-we have a mortgage and wuth the current climate are always reading whats going on.

Yes you should attend the hearing. You can ask the lender to withdraw the possession claim, but they are unlikley to do so.
They will instruct a local solicitor to represent them at the hearing when hopefuly they will put the agreed offer before the judge. Unfortunately it has been known for the agreement not to be communicated and if you are not there you will have a problem.
The hearing is informal and if all is agreed lasts about 2 minutes please dont be scared but you need to make sure you are protected.
Many Courts have advice workers at the court who can assist and sometimes represent you, see if your court does this
